New altar for blessed John Henry Newman

On Wednesday the 22nd Archbishop Nichols consecrated the new altar of blessed John Henry in the chruch of the London oratory.

It was a bombastic mass with choir and orchestra and a liturgy beyond everything... very impressive, just right to honor blessed John Henry :-)

I had the luck to stand in the middle of the clergy during the concecration by the Archbishop

Papal Vigil at Hyde Park on Saturday 18th of Septmeber 2010

Last saturday, Benedict XVI celebrated the vigil as preperation to the beatification of John H. Newman.

We got there at about four pm. It was an awesome program with lots of music and presentations.
Finally the pope had a deley, but the organisation team entertain meanwhile by filming people and screening them at the big walls without their knowledge unless they reacted - mostly very funny...

The vigil itself was very beautiful.
The most impressive moment was when there was absolute silence during adoration.
I mean it has been said there were about 80.000 people out there...
